TalkMed investment on Hong Kong Integrated Oncology Centre (HKIOC)

An update on TalkMed investment on Hong Kong Integrated Oncology Centre (HKIOC).

I sent a mail with the below mentioned in blue ,the reason she provided is due to the nature of its business which required high sunk cost .

No time line is given when will the Company investments bear fruits but it may take "some time".

As an  investor , i will like to know when is the Company expected/targeted  breakeven for it's investment in HKIOC?

Could you also please explain what is the major factor that contribute to HKIOC losses to date.

And the reply as follow:

Hong Kong Integrated Oncology Centre (HKIOC)  was officially opened in July last year. The centre has been reporting an rising patient visit number, which is accompanied by increased publicity effort. This is an encouraging sign. We also understand that HKIOC has also recently entered into another collaboration which is expected to contribute to its long term profit. 

We will be sharing more details on the Group website regarding the latest development in due course.

We would like to assure you that the Group is actively engaging its partners in the operations of HKIOC and remain optimistic that in due time, its business will contribute positively to the bottom-line of our Group. Nonetheless, as investments related to the nature of its business tend to be high in sunk cost, it may take some time before a breakeven and profit is observed. 

On a positive note, we are happy to highlight that the TalkMed's overall performance, excluding HKIOC,  rose 4.4% year on year.
